The vast majority of access scaffolds used in Canada every day are relatively simple structures that can be readily inspected for condition and approved for service. This program is designed for Project Managers, Supervisors, Safety Officers, Tradespersons, who will be inspecting &#8220;non-engineered&#8221; scaffolds on a regular basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a blended learning program that you can start anywhere and any time you&#8217;d like. Primary Access Scaffold are supported scaffolds (frame, system or tube &amp; clamp) that DO NOT require engineering under the CSA Z797 Code of Practice for Access Scaffolds. All fall protection equipment must be regularly inspected for damage, defects and wear by a competent person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What you will learn:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beginning with a thorough discussion of the legal requirements for fall protection equipment inspection, the course focuses on establishing consistent and understandable inspection procedures. Through several hands-on exercises, workers discuss and learn proper inspection techniques and manufacturers\u2019 standards for full body harnesses, anchorage connectors, lanyards, lifelines, and other fall protection hardware. Finally, the program provides instruction on proper inspection recordkeeping as well as basic equipment care and maintenance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who should attend:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This certification is intended for fall protection equipment inspectors who will be directly inspecting their own organization\u2019s fall protection equipment and is not to certify third-party inspectors. This is a three-year certification, after which a recertification is required.
